I have recently purchased the Philips Pronto Pro remote and would like to control my Jandy Aqualink Swiiming Pool control center with it (turn on the SPA, Filter, Heater, etc).

Jandy sells a RS Serial Adapter which allows control of the pool system through RS232 compatible home automation systems such as AMX and Crestron [Link: jandy.com] .

My question is there a way to control this RS Adapter through the Pronto Pro Remote - such as an IR to RS232 signal adapter - and if anyone out there has run into this situation before.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

there are adapters on the market called IRMAN....
it's an ir sensor adapter to rs232
Iknow it works for other products.....never tried with yours

Xantec makes an IR to RS-232 adaptor called a IRS232
