It's not often I announce new utilities like this, but this one just seems so unique.

From the author who brought you "FontRep" (the Pronto font editor), "ImgRep" allows any of the Pronto's built-in images to be replaced. This works with firmware update files and the Pronto emulator.

Getting tired of the Pronto's boring device and macro bars? Give this a whirl!

Download here!

Daniel, do you know if this is compatable with the newer Marantz remotes?

As in the large screen versions? I don't know -- the readme says Pronto/Marantz/... but doesn't list specifics.

May be great for developers but its far far beyond me. Did what the instructions say. So what in the hell did it do and where did it put the extracted files?

I haven't got the foggiest clue what I'm supposed to be looking for, or what this program does. Photoshop gave me a big blank box when I tried to locate the files.

Yowzaa,

This utility looks great - but what does it do ?
I hate the static user interface, but does this utility actually get rid of it (thus allowing great programmable space) or does it simply allow you to change what the Macro/Home/Device icons look like ?

Anyone got any screen shots of possible uses of this utility ?

C

PS> I am a bit worried about playing with this - could it screw up prontoedit irrecoverably ?

DAAAA CANCELL ALL OF THE ABOVE, I HAVE HAD A CAUTIOUS PLAY AND CAN SEE WHAT IT CAN DO. THERE IS A LOT OF POTENTIAL FOR YOU GRAPHICS DESIGNERS (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) BUT FOR ME THE STANDARD SETUP IS FINE. BUT, IF PEOPLE UPLOAD THEIR 127 BMP FILES TO THIS SITE WE MAY FIND THAT THERE ARE BETTER 'STANDARDS'

NB:DONT FORGET THE BLACK/GRAY PRONTO USERS YOU COLOUR FREEKS

You mean people still have monochrome pronto's ?
I think I remember my Grampa telling stories about black and white but we just thought it was senility . Hmmm

kabster,

Too true!!! I remember when I was 4 or 5, we didn't have a TV. The old couple next door had one, first TV I ever saw. They had put colored celophane over the screen, three horizontal stripes - red, blue, and green. I thought it was color TV - LOL.

I'd play around with an emulator first. So, basically use it to extract the existing files from the emulator, replace them all to your preference, then merge them back.

Very cool program!!!
It works great if you follow the instructions!!!
I didn't realize there were 131 bitmaps in the firmware file that can be changed.
