The f**king rabbit of my wife just eat the volume down and channel down button.
Is it possible to fix it by myself or by Philips?
Any adresses and prices?
I live in the netherlands.

regards,
Jaap

I thought I was the only one! My son brought his class' pet hamster over for the weekend. "Ah isn't he the cutest little thing." I cradled Snowball in my hands as he sniffed around, exploring my lap and walking around. He walked right up to the Pronto, sniffed the Volume button and bit the tip off with one lightning fast nibble. I really wanted to pretend I was outside having a Snowball fight but I controlled myself. The rest of the weekend he rolled around my house in his cute little plastic hamster ball; I was very proud of my two days of restraint.

Jaap, if you find anything out, let us know. My toddler ate half the chan+ button a while back on my RC5000. She now knows it's "Mama's 'mote" and brings it to me whenever I slip and leave it lying within her reach.

Andrea, what on earth did you have to do to teach your toddler that? ;)

Jaap / Andrea, did you try clear sanitary paste (I'm not sure exactly what it is called in English but it's the silicon rubber used to make bathroom wall and floor corners watertight) to repair the buttons? You probably won't be able to put the plus and minus back on top but it may well be a good alternative if the buttons can't be repaired or if it's expensive.

Ron's refering to "RTV" or Silicone Sealant. Available at any hardware type store in "grease Gun" type tubes, but also in smaller tubes, sometimes called "Shoe Goop". Same stuff, different markets.

Might work, but probably pretty messy. Definitely hard to control/shape this stuff.

I've been warning people for years...
keep your rabbits out of the house...
or they'll eat your remote.

but does anybody listen?
Nooooo...

Actually, that rule of thumb is applicable to small children as well. That's why we keep ours outside (we used to just tie them to a tree, but ever since we installed the underground fence system with the electronic collars we've had a lot fewer calls from the neighbors).

Actually, my Pronto is fine..all buttons are as they should be.

However, 2 pet rabbits seem to have been kicked out of their snug-warm home and now live in my yard, eating our garden.

Did one of you with a chewed-up remote put them there?!?

Does anyone out there want them? My cats are starting to get pretty hungry :)
