Well the day had to come eventually . my pronto Ru980 finally bit the dust recently .

The screen stopped working and wouldnt respond with new batteries, and no longer responds to laptop etc

So the hunt began for a replacement , with logiteh out of the NEW market, and support going forward in doubt, I eventually found the ProControl models.

A friendly installer would allow use of software and the remote wasnt crazy expensive.

A few hours later and im back working again !

programming is very similar to prontoedit, although easier !

add devices, most are in its existing library

then add a remote, select AUTO programing , which does most of the work for you based on your device list .

eg AMP volume controls, ch up/dwn relevant to the device in use.

edit the macros for input selection and fix a coupe of discreete power codes (from old prontoedit hex )

Job done !
