i just finished fabricating my cable and am anxiously awaiting the software. does anyone know when it is expected to be released.

So far, the best Philips has provided is January 1999. So, soon.

I spoke to a number of people involved with Pronto and ProntoEdit at the Philips booth at CES. They are working out a few logistical issues on posting the software, so, be patient, it's very near. (And the latest revision will be very worth waiting for). One of the issues is how many downloads will occur and what will that do to present servers. There was also discussion anout some mirrored sites....We shall see.
