Jim, Anthony, the idea of toggling between home and device is interesting. It's an alternative to the back button on the Marantz or to the device/macro toggling in Pronto. But I want to keep basically the same ccf as in my pronto so I'll just eliminate all the devices and bundle them as panels into fewer devices. The extra scrolling required I will just learn to live with.
But for anybody comparing PDA vs Pronto/Marantz I would still take this flaw into account when deciding which to buy.
For me the PDA is just a "reserve remote" so I can live whith the flaws, especially as I have my Pronto which is gold worth!!!
Thanks for your help trying to find a solution. If I get any breakthrough on this issue I'll put it in this forum(and yes, also in the PDA forum)
