I read the thread about the Remote Central t-shirts and thought those were pretty cool. It said other products would be coming. I started thinking about it and came up with a poster. It's a text rendering of the Remote Central logo. I went through my CCF with CCF Dumper and dumped all my IR codes. Then I wrote a quick script to suck just the hex codes (and their names if I named them) out of the htm files and into a text file. Next I ran it through a script that will take any image file and any text file and then substitute each non-transparent pixel in the graphic with a corresponding character from the text file. I fed that script the Remote Central logo and all the IR codes from my CCF and voila: Here it is zoomed in on just the "A": The big honkin' image is approximately 77.5 inches by 37.5 inches, but I can scale it to any size. I know that is way too big, but I just want to see my CCF up close and personal. :) I can apply this technique to any image and any text file, so if you have any ideas, let me know. If the t-shirt guy (Surge?...I'm terrible with names) is interested in doing a poster, drop me an email. I'll be happy to contribute my work. I think RC merchandise is overdue! Would be a big revenue help for this site. Most of us would love to buy.

Yep, the whole picture (except for the gray background) is made up of hex characters from the IR codes in my CCF. Each individual character is colored so it looks like the RC logo when you look at them all together.
When you say white would stand out more, I don't follow you. What should be white?

This is probably beyond what the proggie can do, but how about a reverse image: the selected color as background and the text as white? Not as neat an idea, granted, but might be darker...

OH MAN!!!!
That's way too much like a flashback from my misbegotten youth. Either that or my 40+, colorblind eyes are playing tricks on me.
The first "A", with the grey/green/brown background fill and the red background letters looks decidedly 3 Dimensional. At least on MY monitor when I move back about 2.5 to 3 feet.
The complete Remote Central pic looks normal, but when I look at that "A" . . . jeez, it harkens back to talking colors, odoriferous words and temperature sensitive sounds.
Knock, knock. Who's there? Dave! Dave? Yeah man, DAVE! OPEN UP! Dave's not here! No Man! **I'M** DAVE!!!! Dave's not here!
(just showing my age I guess)!
MIKE
ps; I echo kabster's sentiments, you are one talented and unique woman (and a Webmistress of the Dark to boot!), your husband is a lucky man. There are far too few women on the web who can hold their own and dish it right back with the best 'em. We're not *worthy*!

kabster; I totally sympathize about the "stones" . . . been there, done that, thankfully not in over a year. And I *do* think the Vicodin is kicking in -- you're babbling on about strawberries and I can find no reference to strawberries anywhere in this thread! No harm, no foul. Vicodin eased me through my miserable times as well. Hang in there . . . this too, shall pass! MIKE
