Hello everybody,
please excuse my bad english, it is not my native language.
I have watched all the Sony Receiver files in the files area and have found some codes for my Sony STR-DB940 receiver which are not on my original remote.
Now i would like to have some more codes for the receiver.
1. for Display (switch the Display) 2. Dimmer 3. discrete codes for MUTE ON and MUTE OFF 4. Subwoofer ON and OFF 5. any other codes, especially discrete codes, you have which are not on the remote
Many thanks for your kind help.

Best I can offer is that #2, #3 and #4 for certain do not exist.

You can get Mute On & Mute Off codes seperately
Use the Sony remote to program a one step macro containing just Mute On. Then learn this onto a Pronto button. Repeat for Mute Off.
Works a treat!
Hope this helps

I don't quite follow, Lord Fluff, what you are saying. What kind of "one step macro" are you describing for mute on or mute off??? The mute on Sony units is a toggle. I believe Daniel is correct, in that the discretes do not exist...

Ok, here goes (again)
I'm not talking about using the button on the Sony unit...
1) Using the SONY remote, program a macro for the amp itself that contains only either MUTING ON or MUTING OFF. These commands are available seperately when programming the sony remote.
2) Now execute this "macro" and learn it into the Pronto on whatever button you choose, then do the same for the other one.
Hope thats clear......

Thank you very much for this solution, Lord Fluff.
I have tested it yesterday and it works fine. There are also Codes for EQ/Tone on/off, Soundfield on/off, Mute on/off.
I'm still missing the other codes i mentioned above!
Thanks Daniel for this beautiful and helpful site.

Ah, you mean those are on the two-way remote, hidden only for macro use? News to me (I don't have one). Someone post the codes. ;-)

I'll be uploading my STR-DB930 codes (including the extra "hidden" discretes) very soon. I suspect those discretes should work on all Sony receivers.

Dear Dan I have been unable to find the list of codes you have for Sony Remotes. Mi AV Amp is Sony STR-DB940. Bought a new control but need to program codes for other operations. Thanks
