I have just installed a Nevo Q50 and out of the box, the blue backlight for the hard keys lit up OK. Now I have programmed it the lovely blue lights under the hard keys do not illuminate.
Have I missed a setting or could it be something has become loose inside?

Any help would be most apprectiated - thanks John

Hmmm

Thats a good one.

To my knowledge there is nothing in software to change the settings for just the hard buttons.

This may sound a little odd but try doing a F/W re-flash on the first three items. Im not sure what one controls the lighting but it won't hurt to do them any way.

Also make sure you are running NSP 1.1.

Hope this helps.

Hi D

Thank you for reply - did F/W upgrade but no result.
A bit of a strange one - I did a reset on the remote & during reboot the keys lit up for a few seconds which points towards F/W.

I then then did the F/W re-flash but no result, the actual Remote works great.

I am reluctant to remove the 4 rubber feet to get to the case screws & have a look - it might be a physical connection. Not sure what the back lit light is - could be a small LED.

The blue charge light does come on during charging.

I know some users have fitted a tilt switch so they must be fairly easy to get into for a quick look round.
Any thoughts?

cheers

That sux. Good that it is working with everything else though.

The second you open it, NO WARRANTY. The second you think about getting a screwdriver out and opening it, NO WARRANTY! :)

Not all the feet need to come off either.

I have had a look around in one or two now and unless you are supremely confident in your abilities DONT DO IT.

The SL was a breeze to work on but not the Q50.

If a f/w update didn't fix it I would contact Nevo support. This would most likely be a warranty issue.

Thanks D

I will try the support route & see how we go, I will let you know.

On the www.avsforum.com there are a few people who have the same problem, apparently a common fault!!!

These little things really do annoy me -the remote itself, build quality & software are great.

hey ho I can always get a small Maglite !!!

cheers
