Trying to install Nevo Studio on a Windows Vista PC. When the software has installed and it opens to the registration window, I click next, the software tries to get to the registration screen but stops responding. Has anyone encountered this issue and have a fix? I have Nevo Studio up and running fine on a Windows XP machine, registered with no problem, etc. so it's definitely something Vista related.

Thanks!

I believe you have to go into the properties of your network card and disable IPv6.

Try that and see if it works.

I found three properties on my network card associates with IP version 6. I disabled those 3 properties (I didn't find anything where I could comfirm that IPv6 was disabled entirely), rebooted, still same problem. The three properties I disabled were:

Large Send Offload v2 (IPv6)
TCP Checksum Offload (IPv6)
UDP Checksum Offload (IPv6)

Hmm, I would just try contacting their tech support department and be done with it. Hopefully they can help you out.

I have followed that document and still the program installs and works flawlessly except when i grab the pulldown help menu register is grayed out and I can't select it. This is on a laptop with vista and a wireless connection with v6 disabled
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.

Check that you have.
.net framework 1, 1.1 and 2 installed.

Not sure if 2 is required but it cant hurt right?

you should be able to google them or go to the microsoft website.

Yeah I am not sure what the issue is. I followed the directions in the link above. When I try to install net framework it says there is a newer version installed. The problem is some protocol in the wireless connection. When I plug into our network at work via cat V it links through and registers no problem. I was happy to see this and figured once I registered I would be golden. Unfortunately after registering the software and going back to the wireless connection it went back to being unregistered. I did go into the wireless properties and disabled IPv6 but no change.

Can you 100% confirm that you have BOTH .net 1 and 1.1?

Check your firewalls.
Check antivirus

and the big one...

Remove any software that has anything to do with a 3g style usb internet dongle.
If you have this it will kill the network aspect of Nevo studio (NS).

The only way to fix it is to un-install usb modem software.
load NS
connect the remote
re-load usb software.
should now be fixed.

Let us know how it goes.
