I have finally managed to connect my Nevo and Nevolink to my wireless network, and this time I really hope to get this working properly:

I have my computer hooked up to my stereo. On my computer I run primarily J River Media Center for music playback. Now I would love to be able to use the Nevo to control Media Center. It should be able to allow for browsing and control since Media Center in UPnP.

I have started the Media Server on Media Center, and in Nevostudio I go to media zones and find the media server for source. The target shows nothing.

What do I need to do to be able to control Media Center with the NevoSL?

Hi,

Either use it as an IR remote and have the OSD on your TV.

OR

You will also need to load Nevo Media Player or some other UPnP player.

Nevo has no native support for Windows Media Center PC.

I mean J River Media Center, not Windows Media Center. I thought it had a UPnP player.

I could be incorrect but after a quick scan of the J River wed site I could only see that it is a server and a seperate player is required.

But it was just a quick look.

I think you're right. Is there any other player I can use with Nevo? I find it very strange that Nevo Media Manager does not support Vista.

Try Simplecenter.

It is a little old now but works with the Nevo SL.
