I have an IR remote control for my motorized screen with discrete Up, Down and Stop buttons. I tried to learn these three codes to the Q50 and was successfully able to capture the Down and Stop codes, but not the Up code. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Did you actually test out the learned commands that went through? (Down and Stop) Even though the Nevo remote thought it captured it doesn't mean it really did.

Even if they did work, that's odd that it would capture some commands from one remote, but not others. When I have trouble learning with the Nevo, I try to get creative with the way I shoot it into the top of the Nevo. I try different angles, different distances, I try pressing the button on the original remote with one quick tap and other times with a longer hold, etc. Hell, I'll even turn off the lights in the room if that even helps, lol.

If you can't get the Nevo to learn, I think you might have to haggle the manufacturer of the screen to give you some hex commands or something.

I had a "DRC STD" command on a Sony receiver that I couldn't get to work on a Q50. It would do all other DRC commands like "max", "off", .1-.9, etc. I could learn the "DRC STD" with a Crestron ir learner and a pronto, but the nevo would never reproduce that one command. I just used 2 commands (like DRC.1, then right) to get around this for my situation so I never found out why it wouldn't learn or send that command.
