sadly . . no

the only ways to activate the screen
is by touching the screen,
or using the jog wheel on the side,
or by using one of the 4 buttons below the screen.

i mentioned this to them at the show as well
and they thought it was better this way.
i suggested they at least make it an option . .

you get used to it . .
but it should be there .

+1 It should definitely be an option. I still get a little annoyed by having to wake it up with the first tap, and then send my command with the second. :(

thanks for the responses guys. I agree, i never realized how much that little option grows on you. Also, I have yet to be able to connect to the remote via wifi in the software. Ill keep trying in the AM but i am assuming im doing something wrong. Wifi is definitely working cause i can browse the web but i just cant seem to connect via the software.

Hi Weez,

Have you ticked the enable wireless programming box?
After you select this then D/L to the remote via usb.
Make sure NSP is allowed in the firewall.

I think from memory you need to hold the home button for a few seconds.

Thanks for the help sydinstaller, I have done everything you noted including the home key, i here the odd beep after holding the home key for a few seconds but i am still unable to connect wirelessly. I know wireless is working because i can browse my mobile favorites thru the S70 but just cant connect to it.

I will keep working on it and try to find out where i am going wrong. If all else fails i will try installing the software on my xp machine and see if i have any more luck.

vista is tricky.
did you get it working with usb on vista?

i havnt never tried it with vista but read about issues
and work arounds . . . .

i want to make a few more changes in regards to PS3 activity,
then ill send you latest revision.. should be sometime tonight..

how are the fave's and waps?
all work ok?

also,
if you still are having issues with wifi connecting to your laptop on XP,
try dhcp instead of static . . shouldnt really be the issue,
but its good to rule it out.
