When I originally set up this remote with WiFi never turn off and Nevo SL never turn off, it would work for a while but after a long period of no use it would crash and not respond to any button presses. The new version 1.1 fixed that problem.

Now I am trying to set up the WEP encryption. It does exactly the same thing as stated above. Does anyone know why and don't forget, I am in Australia.

I have heard from UEI that it might be a good idea to change the setting for the Nevo SL, so that it does shut off after a short period of time.

I set mine up today for wep and so far, so good.

make sure that you use a unique SSID on your router or accesspoint and set that SSID as the only preffered network

this keeps your device from wandering onto another WAP with the same SSID such as default or linksys or netgear"some standard out of the box SSIDs

for instance if you stick the remote in you back pocket and walk outof range from your access point and your neighbors SSID is the same as yours the nevo will try to connect to that one using the wep key and lock up, freak out, etc

LINKSYS routers work the best with these remotes BTW "WRT54G" is what i've had the best luck with.

64bit should work great I wouldn't try 128bit

Luck,
Chris
