Hi everybody, purchased a new Nevo Q50. I am fairly new to programming remotes. Followed all of the directions on manual. I have a Yamaha RX-V2700 receiver I am trying to program my Q50 for. Went to the “Use model based set up”. It listed the RXV2700. I downloaded the device configuration it recommended. Hardly any of the buttons where the same as on my original remote. I made all of the button and label changes then went to advanced key section added, learned all of the additional codes I needed and added them. After I finished my remote and the emulator showed that all buttons were putting out a signal and appeared that everything was working properly. The whole process seemed to go smoothly and felt right until I tried the remote out with the RXV2700. 2 buttons worked. Power on and Power off. No other button work including and hard keys. Any suggestions as to what I did wrong?

Thanks

based on the fact that the model numbers matched, I'd say it should've worked. You can either try a different model or bite the bullet and just learn the commands that you need.

billyb,

I setup a Nevo for a client a few months ago and they already had a RXV2700 in their system that I had to work with. I took a look at some of my old notes and I believe the code set that worked for me was R1276.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with telling NevoStudio Pro how to use a specific code set, but just open up the Add Device Wizard and select Add IR Device, then Enter device code and when the next screen pops up just enter in "R1276".

I hope that helps.

Ry-dog,

Thanks so much, I will try that. The code Studio Pro mached with my 2700 was "R0082". I am not familiar with how to use a specific code set. so thanks again.
