I purchased a new Nevo SL on Ebay and am awaiting it's arrival. I would like to get a head start on designing my controls using NevoStudio 2.0. Where can I download it? My computer is running on Vista. I have read some threads about the problems installing the older version on a Vista run computer. I don't know what version of the NevoStudio is on the disc that is coming with the remote. I have tried searching this site for it with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Wait for the disk and then after downloading use the update. They don't support what you want to do from their website.

I guess I maybe confused. I thought the problem was people could not install NevoStudio from the disk? The remote is suppose to be new in an unopened box. Hopefully it has the newer software that will install with Vista. Thanks for the info provided.

First, welcome to the Nevo SL, it's a great remote. You have to go to the My Nevo site and set yourself up as a Dealer, use the dealer login at the top right. Then you can navigate to find the Studio 2.0.2 to download. Here is the page link, [Link: mynevo.com]

You have to go through training and have a business to become a dealer. Tremelle sounds like a end user, so registrating as a new dealer won't work.

Correct, I am an end user/consumer. Before I purchased the remote I found a site that had the NevoStudio Pro available for download. I did some layouts in it before I learned it was not compatiable with the SL. I registered through the Pro software but there was no information or links to the Studio 2.0 software.

Here is the link to NevoStudio Pro: [Link: mynevo.com]

Here is the note from the same page:

NOTE: If NevoStudio is already installed on your computer for programming the NevoSL, NevoStudio Pro will need to be installed as a separate application for programming the NevoQ50. Both applications can run simultaniously on the same system but cannot share files and settings.

I read that Note on the site. I am not worried about running the two simutaneously since I am only using the SL. I did see the Q50 becoming available at an attractive price on Ebay now. I may buy one of those as well and see which one I like the best. :)

Well I got my remote today. I had to install NevoStudio 2.0.1 on my laptop from work. Then I registered on the MyNevo site. Then I downloaded the 2.0.2 to my Vista computer. I then uninstalled MyNevo 2.0 from the work computer. Now my Vista pc freezes up everytime I to register the software to the MyNevo site. I guess I am off to the serach function to find a solution. At least I have it on my Vista machine now.

I am up and running now. I followed the directions in that zip file concerning Vista and NevoStudio.

I hope you do not have any problems with the Q50, because you may likely bought it from an unauthorized dealer. UEI will simply send you back to your dealer if you call them for support, service or repair. So, if your ebay guy is the typical fly-by-night seller, you may find your self with an expensive paperweight.

No warranty, no repair service, nor warranty exchanges. This is what UEI says.

I can't believe how horrible the support is for this remote.

The website does not have any contact phone numbers, any documentation, any drivers or software,etc... I am surprised these people even bother making a website.

I have the software but it won't download to the remote because it said that it is an older version of the software. I tried to up the "update" feature but it can't connect to the server.

Does anyone know where I can download the latest software?

Thanks
