I never bought into the first Nevo for many reasons and some of them panned out to be a real problem, mainly the wifi reliability. Anyone have any real world experience with the ZigBee version yet? Any better?

I have been getting Q50's from my distributor as well as NevoConnects.

Lucky ... my distributor has been slow. Only 1 q50 so far with no connects. I am very please with just the Q50 though, good battery life and easy to program.

Dave,

please help me understand something

you refer to the q50 with the post from above:
"I have seen some excellent Zwave performance so far. Great distance and great command control

Dave"

but in another recent thread you state:

"Yes, I have heard the same from Nevo directly. At the current state of firmware, the Q50 will not control native Zwave devices. Something for future upgrades perhaps?

Dave"

Can you elaborate on what exactly you mean. i am trying to understand the full extent of z-wave support on this remote. thanks for your input.

The Q50 uses Zwave RF to communicate with the NevoConnect. I commented that I had seen good performance (with communication to the NevoConnect.)

What is now confirmed: Until a future firmware upgrade, the Q50 cannot work with Zwave "native" devices such as light switches, thermostats, etc.
