Don't get me wrong; I love my existing NevoSL. But I need a solution for 4 x kids bedrooms to control amps in a central rack located in the basement. I'd love to buy 4 more Z-Wave Nevos but it ain't going to happen $$$$$! So I'm wondering, can I install an NC-50, with its 6 individually addressable IR ports, in my central rack, and use (relatively) inexpensive Harmony Z-Wave remotes to control it?

Good question, I wonder… Based on the limited information I have on Z-Wave, as long as the handheld implements the commands which the NC-50 supports, they should be able to just work or at least that is what Z-Wave is all about.

NO. At least the first generation product won't work with anything. Z-Wave will be an amazing addition to our industry, but keep in mind UEI has lot's of reasons not to share with other manufactures on or during a new product launch.
