I have been working on this for days!!! I have got so many tv's dvd players, karaoke machines and sat. receivers that are not listed codes that I had to manually program them into the Nevo. (probably becuase most of these just came out). Everything works fine when I have it set to turn on my tv... cable box turn on, receiver turns on, tv turns on BUT when I wanna switch to watch a dvd...rather than keeping the tv on and receiver on...it turns it all off! I know this is because I have the remote set to turn it on and since there is no separate "code" to turn these things of... the remote thinks that it is turning it off!

If there are devces like mine that seems to have only one button for power on/off (nothing about it on the mfr. sites) how do I set it for nevo to leave certain things on when needed to or to turn them off? Please... any help will be GREATL appreciated!

It sounds like you have more of a design issue rather than missing IR codes. If I were you with your level of knowledge, amount of equipment, and height of importance, I would contact a professional programmer who could outfit your remote/system correctly and consistantly. It's not worth your aggragation. Learn after you get it programmed. A good place to start is Dave D'Arche at www remotequest dot com He is a Nevo dealer programmer who I am sure can help you with your system.

seems you need a little "basic programming 101".... looks like you're covered, let us know if further assistance is needed.

good luck.

I have the same issue but have accepted that there is no solution with my current audio equipment. All future purchases will have discrete on/off codes so that you can confidently include an 'on' command in a macro and know that you are not turning the item off. I know it's possible to present questions on the Nevo i.e. "Is the amp already on"? and then take appropriate action - but it's just too many button presses to execute what could be a simple macro.

NB The new NC-50 has a voltage sensor available and supports 'if, then' programming. This may be able to tell if an item is on standby or switched on and then act accordingly.
