When I put my Nevo SL on the charging cradle/base station, it gives every indication that it's charging -- the lights on the cradle light up, and the battery icon on the Nevo unit shows that it's charging as well. But when I take it off the cradle, it doesn't indicate that it's charged -- in fact, the battery will just die on the cradle if I leave it there. The last few times I've tried to charge it, when I pick it up it will show a little blue question mark within the battery icon, as though it apparently doesn't know how much charge it has... But it will charge fine through USB or through a RAZR charger...

Anyone else ever had this issue? Is there something I should be considering in my power settings that would fix this?

SS, someone else in this forum has had that problem, but I can't remember who. Maybe you can find it with a search. I'll try to find it and post it if I do.

Here it is:

Good luck.

I was having all the same symptoms/problems. I contacted tech support in Nevo land and they suggested I send the unit and the craddle in for a diagnosis. They contacted me last week and told me it is not the battery but a problem with the unit. They told me to contack my dealer. I purchased the unit off eBay. I responded to Nevo support informing them of such and am now waiting to hear my options. The unit is about 14 months old and therefore out of warranty. I'm hoping the unit can be repaired. A Nevo SL for $5oo is a little steep to throw away every year. I'll update when I hear something from Nevo tech support.

Here's the update. Nevo support at Univeral Electronics gave me the bad news. The problem is with the unit, not the cradle, not the AC adapter, not the battery. Because I purchased it off eBay and not an authorized dealer, there is nothing they will do about it. Does anyone know of a place/company that can and will repair a NevoSL? I can't believe UE wont repair a unit even for a fee if it was not purchased through a authorized dealer.

This is interesting... I am having the same issue with mine. What I did discover is that it will charge if you plug it into your pc with a USB cable. I find it strange that others are having this issue within a couple of months of each other. I bought mine a couple of months after it's release date. Anyone have any luck with Universal making good on these units? My dealer is out of business so I will need to deal with Universal directly on this.

UEI replaced mine, but I am an authorized dealer.
