Hi Guys, very strange! I have a problem running Vista with Nevo Studio 2.0.2 but my problem is different, I am able to download it and open the Studio itself but as soon as i get to the section "online product registration" it all goes wrong and crashes (hangs)
My Laptop has not been upgraded from XP but was preloaded with "Vista Home Premium" I tried very hard to purchase a XP Laptop but without much luck. what i cant understand is that from reading previous threads from this forum some people have managed to get Nevo Studio to work on Vista with little or NO PROBLEM!
Whats the key I have tried for Hours and Hours and Hours instaling re-installing, checking other sites and upgrading windows mobile (Active Sync for Vista). its driving me MAD! surley UE have had enough time to sort out this Vista compatability issue as with other companies, i know that they are not the only ones but with such a exclusive product you would have thought that almost 2 years was enough time to sort it out, I would say that almost 90 percent of new computers on the market are preloaded with Vista so what are new installers to do?
I emailed there european tech support team and guess what? i received a quick reply with a download directing me back to the Nevo website download page to download the same Studio 2.0.2 update 597 that I had been downloading, with a reply saying "Try this" what a joke!
anyway I have had my winge and I feel abit better now (sort of

You need to download the complete NevoStudio version from the Nevo Web site. It is Vista ready. I think it is version 2.02.

On top of that, you need to modify the network connections in such a way as to make way for your Nevo and Link, if you are planning wireless.

The file for info is here:

Look for User supplied infomation.

Hi Guys, I must say that I have had my problem solved with the Nevo Studio an Vista issue, I contacted EU Tech Support and boy what a realy great help they were, they spent alot of time (even after hours) to help me!
without going through all the different processes to find out why it was not working it seems to be a problem with the Nevostudio 2.0.2 download from the mynevo dealer download, it seems that it works for some but not for everyone.
Eventualy a disc was sent was sent to me and it worked perfectly with my VISTA OS
everything that i have tried so far works, including Nevolinks on the network.
i am sure that anyone vista and nevo studio 2.0.2 problems could contact the Support Team Europe [[email protected]] they would be able to send you a copy of the disc also.
I think that you may also have to change some network settings as Dave D'Arche say in his answer to my original post (Friday June 8th 2007).

Thanks Support Team Europe

Cliff.

i'm having this same problem with vista. i downloaded nevostudio at the website and installed it. everytime i click next at the register screen in nevostudio it freezes and i have to close the program. when i uninstalled it i found that nevostudio 2.0.1 was listed in the program list. i guess someone posted the wrong file on the official website?

I too was having the problem of NevoStudio freezing during the registration process. The solution in my case was to install the Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1 and its service pack. Before this, NevoStudio was running with v2.0 since this was what I think was installed by default on Vista. However, this version appears to be incompatible with programs written for v1.1. The .NET Framework v1.1 can be downloaded from the Microsoft site as follows.

.NET Framework v1.1

.NET Framework v1.1 Service Pack 1

I hope this is of help to others with the same problem.

Maybe try to use V 2.0.2 as standalone version, not as upgrade.

When I download what is supposed to be the full V2.0.2 it downloads an upgrade file, at least according to the file name.
