NevoSL and big Denon amp codes?

I noticed that most of my Denon AVC-A1SRA (5803) codes worked for my new AVC-A1XVA (5805) but on the Denon-supplied XVA remote there is no option to dim the display as there was on the previous SRA handset.

Also I am led to believe on the earlier XVA handset (blue LED type) there was a remote button to switch the scaler through various resolutions which is also missing from the horrible, black, clunky later type remote supplied with the XVA.

Does anyone know what these codes are so I could program them into my NevoSL please?

Also altering the audio delay (lip sync) on the big Denons is a pain as you have to go into the Setup Menu/Video Setup/Audio Delay and alter the delay in milliseconds.

This is not made any easier by the fact that you lose the picture to a black screen as soon as you enter Setup so have to guess what the setting is, Exit/Exit/Exit to come out only to find out it is still out and repeat the process all over again.

Does anyone know if there is a discrete code for Audio Delay that will adjust the milliseconds without entering the menu and blacking the picture out?

I am guessing not but it was worth a try...

Thanks & kind regards,

Glyn,

where exactly is the Nevo point in your thread?

Glyn,

Denon offers complete code sets on paper, for most of their products. In the Pronto forum, you can find a utility which was contributed by Paul Friedlander. (I think this is his name).

You run this utility and punch in a few of the code sniplets from the Denon doc and it puts out a completed code string for a Pronto. In most cases, you should be able to copy and paste these hex strings into your Nevo SL configuration.

I have a comprehensive chart of Denon codes I can email but your profile does not show an address. Email me and I will send it. It documents all codes documented by denon.

Well I was trying to program my Nevo at the time...and having found the answer to my question posted the solution so anybody else who wanted the Denon codes for their own Nevo might benefit also...

And your point was?

:-)

Hi Dave,

I have seen those codes - I may even have them somewhere...thanks.

I will take a look around for Pauls program and may give it a go.

Thanks & regards,

Thanks for the kind offer tgruggett...I may have them somewhere here - ISTR seeing them some time ago when they made no sense to me at all...

Not that they mean much more now but at least I have some of them working now!

Thanks & kind regards,
