Hi Guys,

Changing the aspect ratio on my Pioneer TV is done via a single button with multiple presses to step through the different screen widths.

Having learned this code from the remote to the NevoSL, it only works once and doesn't work for subsequent presses. Is this something that one of you guys have seen before and do you have a solution?

Also, I'd like to run shortcuts from the function buttons. I couldn't find a way to assign them though as you can't right click on the hard function buttons, like above if you've seen this and have a solution please let me know.

Howard,

I might try re-learning the code. Keep it pressed on the original remote until the Nevo recognizes it.

It sounds like a "toggle" code which are always troublesome for universal remotes.

What is the exact model of your Pioneer?

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the note I'll give it another shot now. The TV is PDP-435XDE Plasma. I'll check out the online DB too to see if it can pull anything back.

Thanks also for your other post on MCE!

Dave,

Thanks again! I downloaded the codes fom the online db and sure enough there was an Aspect button hidden away in the list. Immediate success once applied.

Your welcome. For further, next-level integration, you can download the entire codeset from the Pioneer site, which will always have more discretes, than are available almost anywhere.

They offer them in Pronto .ccf files, which can be imported into the Nevo and the IR codes will come over. At the current time, the Pronto .pcf files can also be imported but the IR codes will not come over. Only the graphics.

Thanks again Dave, I'm all set up with my version 1. I'll add this ccf into my setup for 'home version 2' ;-)

Howard,

To assign the shortcuts to you hard and function keys, if I am understanding you correctly, you should first make sure that your inheritance is allowing you to do it, and then you should be able to add actions to those keys. Add them at either the top of the project collection,"The Master Page" or the top of the page collection. You can add the shorcuts or even create them from there.

I'll give a shot later on, have a couple of ideas in mind I'd like to try for the hard keys.

Thanks.
