Just purchased a demo NevoSL during a recent DDG training, pretty much on a whim. We use URC MX900/950 for all of our installs, but I was impressed by the demo the Nevo sales rep was giving of the SL doing 2way communication with MCE for music, etc.
I've not started programming the device yet, figuring I'd do some background reading on this forum first to get some info. This has me asking a couple of questions, then...
1. Security - I understand that the NevoSL and NevoLink are on one's home network, and configuring the remote or base station is as simple as opening up NevoStudio and running a "discover?" What about security ... can one password protect the remote and/or base station, to avoid subsequent "unauthorized" config changes?
2. I was surprised to read that NevoStudio supports import of Pronto files, and even more pleased to see it supports direct Pronto Hex input (something I wish URC had done years ago!). I have many device and remote config files in URC's MX (MXF, MXD, MXG, etc) format ... does Studio support import of these in any manner, or is this in the works?
3. How extensive/complete do you folks think the NevoSL IR database is in Studio?

The IR DB is one of the best out there. Plus the online model based lookup is a very good feature.
No, no support to import URC files.

Within Nevo Studio, you can use the online, model-based lookup to find IR sets by the precise model #, which you cannot do within the internal IR database.
