1- WIFI, there is definitively something wrong with the WIFI. The stability but also the fact that when disconnected it does not always reconnect.
I must admit that since I disable all power saving mode, it is better.
2- I also believe that the UPNP control point is good but not perfect. Few issues (elapsed time, etc) in the detail view.
3- Finally, there is a need to better integrate the UPNP functionalities with the Home Control (i.e. the IR remote control pages). You should be able to 'power on' the client device and the amplifier and then jump to the UPNP control page to select the music. Today, these 2 environments are isolated.

I believe my original two feature requests of addressable IR ports on the NevoLink and RS-232 integration will be addressed very soon with the release of a new NevoLink.

It will also have 3.5mm IR jacks rather than the 2.5mm on the current one.

No more details at this stage but might be on display at CEDIA

An (bidirectional) Interface (i.e. build in into NevoLink) for
- KNX/IEB ([Link: en.wikipedia.org])
- X10 ([Link: en.wikipedia.org])
- PLC interface (i.e. [Link: en.wikipedia.org]).
- serial interface RS232/RS485
- software for an external ethernet based serial server like [Link: visionsystems.de])

- A method to send strings to a certain port to an ip-address in upd and tcp - call a web-page by "get http://..." of some management interface like [Link: allnet.de] (i.E. Reset box, which is also usefull for input to a plc).

- The support for dynamic pages (Web-Pages or Streaming) to reflect status change by pictures (to give at least the visual feedback).

- More reliable Wireless, extra modes and frequencies 802.11a and g

- A manual or interface to translate existing codes into hex (to add keys if you don't have the right/advanced remote for a device)

- A cache to send the commands to the NevoLink if Wireless was off (Powersave)

- A cache to hold the Media Zones Data (and the navigation point) and wait when the wireless link was suspended (not jumping back to "Media Zones" overview)

I have ask for two features in particular but never received a reply on either.

1. the ability to control Windows XP Media Center Edition rather than installing the Nevo Server. Much better integration with the media servers that are beginning to hit the market.

2. A stand alone program that uploads and downloads the programs to Nevo SL so that you can email updates to customers and they can install them easily. Saving a service call to charge the customer for.

I have other ideas as well and I have saw some good ones here.

1. the option to change device control via IR or NevoLink without uploading the project again.

2. the option to learn IR command without computer.

3. It will be nice if the NevoStudio will update only software changes and not the all project when uploading.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT MISSING NevoStduio FEATURE :

The option to copy macro's and shortcuts!!!!

It drives me crazy when i need to build the all Macro/Shortcut again (with 20 page jumps for animation!!!)

If you only have one code to extend, you might want to look up Johnsfine. He's our local IR genius. He can usually modify IR code to make it longer. Once, he took two different brand volume controls codes, blended them together for me so if I was in the living room, the volume control controlled the AV Receiver. If I was somewhere else in the house, it controlled the Russound pre-amp's volume. It made using the CD changer anywhere in the house awesome. If you read this, thanks again John for doing that for me.
It's not just a hobby, it's an obsession...

I second the Media Center interconnectivity. Let the NevoSL pull album art, and media information from a windows media center PC. Then, hopefully, selecting music, playing videos, etc, will enact the desired activity on a given media center OR extender. Also, would hopefully show currently playing info from the media center or extender Probably need to set the ip for the target extender in the studio during setup, not expected to be "on the fly"

Granted this is not the correct forum for this post - so forgive the intrusion, perhaps NEVO monitors this.

- just bought an HP RX3115 PDA from Ebay - love the functionality that exists with NEVO. WIFI control of multiple music servers is outstanding.
- consider myself technical enough to purchase a NevoSL without an installer - sorry.
........but where????? How about the software, would work great on a touchpad device.
- be nice if they answered there email, makes me wonder if they are really in the business.

Again - sorry for the intrusion.

Regards
