Its not that we don't want to take chances on a product. It we reall don't want clients thinking we take chances with their money! Customers really hate being guine pigs!

I agree Springs. Didn't really think of that element.

I fully agree with Springs there. But I havent done anything yet that the unit isn't supposed to do. Just to control peoples equipment and a few media servers. No issues with that at all. Of course Im not trying to get it to control a twonkie or anything. Just AV gear and files from a computer.
Gunga.....Gunga....GU-Lunga

And since Ernie won't keep count, I will. Hes up to 249, and counting.

Well I guess I'm here to now answer by own question. I've had the opportunity to try both remotes and put them to the test. I think both remotes are great, but to be honest, I found more limitations with the Nevo. The two biggest issues I found was with the touchscreen and the software. I found the RT3 touchscreen to be far more accurate and responsive. I virtually never had an error pushing any button on any LCD screen with the RT3. On the other hand, with the Nevo, I had very frequent issues which ranged from no response on a push, to double entries. I understand many/most users never encounter this issue and it's somewhat of a mystery why a few do.

These issues could be almost entirely eliminated by using the finger nail as opposed to the fleshy part of your finger. My wife and I didn't find that to be a particularly good solution as it required a somewhat unnatural input as opposed to what you'd do naturally....you needed to 'think' about the input. I tried different screens with larger buttons and different arrangements....all for naught.

The other issue, probably overcome with more time spent, revolved around the software. I found the RT3 software to be far more intuitive with a much greater 'fun factor'. I found the Nevo software to be somewhat clunky and less intuitive.

On the other hand, as good as the RT3 LCD screen is vsiually, the Nevo appears to be of higher resolution and somewhat brighter. Very nice. The RT3 is very pretty, but the Nevo is flat out gorgeous! I also somewhat preferred (though they were both fairly close), the somewhat smaller size and form-factor of the Nevo. It's closer to a true 'one-handed' remote. This is certainly not to say the RT3 is not, it's just a bit bigger. Also, why does RTI reverse the commonly used channel numbers on the right and volume on the left? Almost every other remote I've ever used has this arrangement, but RTI puts the volume on the right and channels on the left. Strange. Yes, you can reverse that in the programming, but the etching on those buttons is permanent and not going anywhere.

Lastly, I want to thank Dave D'Arche who has been SUPREMELY helpful in all of this. Dave is a rarity out there in terms of providing true, unparralled service to the customer!
