OK, so I use a Home Theater Master MX-500. I've thought for a long time that I'd like to get a remote that will allow me to plug in Hex codes (such as a pronto which I had in the past and got rid of in favor of the MX-500). My problem is ONLY one device. I want discrete codes for On/Off on my Oppo DV-970HD. So, I bought ProntoNEO on ebay merely for the task of inputting the discrete HEX codes and spitting out a discrete on (& off) IR signal. Downloaded the software... Setup the program... tried to create a button and input the HEX code. Nope!
So, is there anyone out there that has a Pronto AND a ProntoNEO that could put the HEX code in their Pronto, learn it to their NEO and then save the config. file so that I could have it? OR is there any way to convert regular ProntoEdit Pronto files to ProntoNEO files? OR should I give up and realize that it's not so bad to have to turn my DVD Player on/off using a power toggle? Any other suggestions?

Well, there's one thing you can do. Marantz RC3200 Edit works with regular Pronto hex codes, unlike NEOedit. The issue is that you can't load a RC3200 file into NEOedit or vice versa - unless you perform a little trickery, either with NEOhacker or by editing the NCF's zip comment.

You can input HEX codes into the Neo by using NeoHacker. I believe there are directions in the FAQ at the top of the forum.

So, I tried NeoHacker. When I put in the following HEX code: 900A 006D 0000 0001 49B6 5AA5
It gave me the following message "A valid pronto IR code must start with '0000'" What's up with that? Is there something that I'm not catching regarding the HEX code?
