Hi, Newbie here,
I live in the UK but am currently in the US on business. I was in the process of looking around for some new OneForAll remotes (the range in the US are so much better than those available in the UK) when I came across a Philips ProntoNEO on special offer in CompUSA for $70. I did a quick search on the web to see what it was like and if the price was good and it appeared to be just what I need. However, I have read in these forums that there is a problem with the ribbon cable connected to the touchscreen breaking after a year or two due to a sharp edge in the casing.
What I would like to know is whether Philips have solved this problem on the latest units and, if not, would it be a good idea for me to take some remeadial action now to hopefully prevent the fault from occuring in a couple of years time.
Thanks for any advice
Russell

I never had the problem...others have. I don't believe Philips has changed anything about the Neo since they started making it.
