I failed to set up two-way Wi-Fi connection of Philips iPronto TSi6400 and my PC (notebook with Wi-Fi).

The remote is visible for my computer, but the computer IS NOT visible for the remote.


Could you tell me what's the problem?

Do you have a wireless router?

Direct Ad-hoc mode is impossible between Ipronto and a PC.
You must use an separate Wi-Fi Access point or a Wi-Fi PC Card in Access point mode..

my Wi-Fi PC card supports only Direct Ad-hoc mode

the remote looks for Access point that is of course not available.

Should I buy a Wi-Fi adapter (wireless router) that will support access point mode?

can I set my existing PC card to access point mode? How can I learn what mode my card supports?

Easiest solution is to just buy an actual access point (which generally must connect to an existing wired network, or buy a wireless router to share broadband internet/etc).
