I want to set up a system for an on/off for my security monitor. I would like to get a signal from a motion sensor to an IR generator (remote control) so I can turn on and off my monitor. I will need the system to send another signal after a few minutes so the monitor goes off automaticly. I think it needs to know if the monitor is on so if there is a second montion detected the IR simply restarts the clock rather than turning of the monitor. Can anyone help?

please e-mail at [email protected]

Seroisly though, this could be simple and inexpensive.

-Go to the big orange home impoverment store and buy a good motion light fixture (you can set it to go off after a few minutes. Besides, who knows? Maybe you could also use it to light the secure area!)

anyway, use a light bulb to A/C adapter, plug in the monitor and turn it on.

Most motion detector light fixtures will let you set to "steady on" too.
