I have a need for a remote that can be used on a car audio system specifically a cd player that will give more range. I need 100' to 150' or is there a ir to rf converter that would work with the credit card remote that comes with many of the players available on the market?

any IR-RF-IR extender should work with it if your original remote is IR

Ijust thought of this, but most of them are meant to be plugged into the wall, so I don't know how useful they will be.
