I have 2 hallway lights controled by 4 switches. I want to control 1 of the lights with only 1 switch and leave the other 3 switches to control the other lights. Can this be done at the switch boxes? Thanks

Why not just do 'em all at the bulb? Keep it simple for yourself.

It all depeneds on the wiring of the house and how the boxes are order according to the wire, not just the phiscaly placment of the boxes from the source.

Sounds like a question one would get on an exam paper.

Check this out; it gives an illustration of how the switches are probably wired (the last example though, if I read your question correctly, using two 4 way switches rather than just the one shown) and hence the practicalities of changing things to the way you want them.

No.

You would need to run an additional wire to one of the lights. preferably put it in the switch with the other switch leg. then reconfigure the boxes and viola
