Why can't I find a remote that will change channels on a cable box at a set time?

None of the current OFA remotes have timers, the last was the urc-9800. Other UEI remotes with timers are 8080, 8090, 8800, 8780, and radio shack 15-1934, 1935, and 1995. Going way back there's the memorex CP8, CP8 Turbo, and the RS 1901.

The Sony RM-VL1000 has timers. It's got other issues, but it's about as cheap as you're going to get ($44!).

I don't even have a dang DVR yet, so I must be doing well. :-)
...Although I have 5 VCRs (plus a perfectly functional 6th sitting in a closet).

Actually, I use a Pace Twin. Not quite a TIVO, but close enough.
