Hi your in the wrong forum mate.I have never heard of a Bose 2000.In the Uk bose do not make a true subwoofer for home users they have Bass modules which most people think are a sub woofer.because the acoustimas sat speakers produce no bass ,bass comes from the bass module if you want lower frequencys then you can add a sub to the bose speakers the only exceptions are AM15 and the latest AM10 speakers which now also have a sub woofer in the bass module.if your using a bose bass module or even one from a AM10/15 it would most likely sound quite bad with different sat speakers as the bass modules are tailored to the sat speakers and with no crossover controls your a bit stuck .I would advise you to buy a new sub they have come down in price over the last couple of years. Please note the above info is correct for the uk the bose 2000 might be a seperate sub for all i know!!
hope this has been of any use .and try the home theatre forum.

Bibble bobble, a straight answer. I am truly stunned.

Actually, he has posted in the Home Theater Forum and I've spent a little while trawling the bose website in an effort to help. Alas I cannot.

True to what you say, it appears they don't make what I would call a true add on subwoofer, they only offer those rather odd Acoustimass® modules which, as you say, are really only geared to their own systems.

I dont like cottage cheese (reminds me of baby sick)some people love cottage cheese.i can tell them why cottage cheese is nasty,I can explain all the better alternatives. I can demonstrate better things in my opinion.I can explain how the cottage cheese company spends a fortune advertising its New cottage cheese with different flavours and you may never see advertisements for the alternatives i might suggest.but at the end of the day they might just like cottage cheese even though un informed and un educated and still want cottage cheese.

you may find the above statement quite resonable................

but not if you change the words cottage cheese for BOSE
stange world ehh?!
