Hi. Just bought this TV but can't get the discrete power codes to work.
Does anyone have any success with setting this up?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are the standard codes the same as other LG TV's?

If no, do you have some learnt hex codes you can post?

Do the discrete input codes work?

LG usually document the IR codes in the manual if they are supported. The manual for your TV does not have them where as the manual for the below models do.

This is what I had to do to get the Discrete POWER ON to work:-

Goto MENU
Goto your OPTIONS
Goto Set ID (default is OFF) change to 1

Use this POWER ON Discrete Code

Thanks for this info. Unfortunately I can't get into that menu item. Is there some kind of service menu I need to get into?

On my LG it is just the normal Option menu (mine is a 2009 model),
the list of functions looks like this:-

Subtitle
Input Label
SIMPLINK
Key Lock
Set ID
this is what I had to change
ISM Method
Demo Mode
Mode Setting
Factory Reset

Hopefully this helps.
Cheers

On my LG

FYI His profile says he has the 60PS40FD
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Do you know if this worked with other codes? Does a different coldest work once you change the ID?

I don't have any of the other LG discrete ON codes anymore to try. If you want to post some I'll give them a go for you.

Changing the SET ID didn't affect any of the other discrete codes (including discrete OFF) or the standard codes, it just enabled the discrete ON to work for some reason. Maybe one of the gurus have an answer for this.
