Does anyone have discrete codes for Philips LCD TV model 47PFL7642D? I tried codes from Philips Pronto site, but they didn't work. I need codes for:
EXT1 EXT2 EXT3 EXT4 HDMI1 HDMI2
Thank you in advance!

I have the same problem as you can see in this thread: [Link: remotecentral.com]Unfortunately, nobody seems to have a clue how to do it. I definitly know, that these codes exist as I read in some other forums, that some guys were successfull with it....but, until now, I wasn't lucky contacting one of those people :-((

Yes, these were tested at first, but didn't work :) I tried also Daniel's TSU7000 file for 42PF9730A, and no luck...

post a few learned codes, sometimes they are helpful to the more knowledgeable members of this forum.

O.k., I found out myself how to do the trick and now, I'll provide you with my knowledge ;-)
Discrete-codes were found on a RC5 basis for inputs and picture formats:
EXT1 (YUV) RC5 3, 4 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 0004 EXT2 (SCART) RC5 0, 57 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0000 0039 EXT3 (SCART) RC5 3, 56 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 0038 HDMI1 RC5 3, 57 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 0039 HDMI2 RC5 3, 6 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 007B HDMI3 RC5 3, 6 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 0006 Front RC5 3, 5 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 0005 (not sure/not tested) Side RC5 3, 58 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 003A (not sure/not tested) TV (antenna) RC5 3, 72 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 0048
Auto Format RC5 3, 61 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 003D 4:3 RC5 3, 117 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 0075 14:9 Zoom RC5 3, 80 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 0050 16:9 Zoom RC5 3, 62 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 003E Breitbild RC5 3, 116 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 0074 Super Zoom RC5 3, 126 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0003 007E
Furthermore, there are the following working discrete codes:
Power On RC5 0, 63 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0000 003F Power Off RC5 0, 61 / 5000 0000 0000 0001 0000 003D
There is still the problem with the mute symbol, that is permanently shown on the monitor as soon as the TV is muted and connected to the home theater system. I created the following workaround:
When AV components (played back via an AV-receiver) are switched ON, I installed a chain of IR codes sending 40 x code for "Vol-" and, after switching the AV components to OFF, another chain of 25 x "Vol+"-command. Thus, I always reach a volume level of "0", even if before I had a little bit higher volume levels. And, at the end, I will always come back to my normal level of "25".
Hope that helps!
Cheers!

How frustrating to have some codes here that can work with the Pronto, but I have no real way to get them into the MX-810. I've seen some utilities to convert codes around, can anyone tell me how you would get the short hex code and convert it for an MX-810. I've downloaded all the Pronto software, tried importing and exporting, but the hex codes are always these short codes. I'll write a simple web utility for us Universal users if someone can walk me through the calculations to convert.
As a workaround for my Philips LCD TV, I found an HDMI1 code that worked. Then I used Channel Up and Channel Down. For example, you can set the AV1 to be: HDMI1, Channel Down x 3. HDMI3 would be HDM1, Channel Up x 2.
Anyhow, this has worked great for me.

kemperflow, can you provide the code for HDMI1? I would be interested to test it also. Thanks.

Makitamark, all,
Those hex codes you posted worked for me and I'm haven't had luck finding others. Do you have more? Specifically the discrete power on/off.
The RC5 codes that were posted further down in the thread, I have failed to convert those to hex codes (using makelearned_b1). I'm putting in device=3, function = 57 (for example, for the discrete RC5 posted for HDMI 1) but it doesn't work, whereas your hex codes worked great.
Thanks!
