Who peed in your Wheaties this morning?

I wouldn't normally point this out, but since you insist on calling others out, I find the spelling "retarted", a bit... the word you meant to use!

Stan, I immediately knew it was meant as tongue-in-cheek, and got a chuckle out of it. All you can do is ignore those with a case of cranial-rectosis.

I think he is joking about the standard white cables that come with the components.. who else uses white cables?

I wish Sonos had a black option for their components as well.

The Apple Power cords drive me crazy. Unflexible junk.

Has Apple shipped one power cord that didn't split and break at the point where the wire fits the connector? I've searched and searched for better cables. The problem is that after market cables often don't work with the chargers or Apple devices. Why? I don't know. But Ive been through several cables, and one might work with one iPad or iPhone but not another. Change the wall wart base and it changes which iPad or iPhones work.

"That is the most retarded statement you have said yet. It's not even remotely close to making a joke about racism. Nice try! Go up on a scissor lift."

Fixed that for you.

I'm just glad the statement wasn't gay. Your spelling and grammar would have gone completely awry.

I typed that on my phone. I ignore spell check because it's usually worse then me. I'll admit-I'm retarded:sometimes :)

Uh, I was making a joke dude.

A terrible one.

Somebody said there should be a black option!

Yes as in black power cord vs a white power cord.

I don't think it's funny at all. Maybe someone will mention yellow or red and you can have some fun with Asians and Native Americans?

I wish I had been as secure twenty years ago as I am now.

In 1990, the investors who had bought the A/V chain I was working for hired a complete ass to be their new CEO. As several of us predicted, he drove the business into the ground in almost exactly two years.

Anyway, at our second or third meeting of the executive staff, he started out by making a black joke. My ex (not ex then) is half black, and after a few seconds of zero response from the group, I said "That's not funny." This guy was Jewish. If I were in the same situation today, I hope I'd have the presence of mind to say what I thought of back then: "Murray, does this mean that kike jokes are okay, too?"

Mr. Stanley, the thing about almost all level of black jokes is that despite what we conservatives say, racism in the US is not over, and if it occurs to you to think along those lines, chances are you have some personal work to do.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I have been an apple user most of my life, a Mac user well before it was the in thing.

I have had every form of cable they have used/offered and never had one go bad. Not that they don't get damaged, I have seen many that were. Just saying that with proper care they hold up just fine.

I don't get the gripe over Apple cables either...I'll take those over the permanently kinked-up crap that comes with most gear any day.

I haven't had the cords go bad. Just the outer jacket starts to crack and separate from the plug and the braid sometimes starts to fray.

I have seen that before, just has never been an issue for me. I am definitely an active user, regularly charging multiple laptops, iPads and iPhone, I guess I just handle the cables in a particularly careful way.
