Doing a job for a local CC, 10 sets, 4-6 sources. Looking for a solution to eliminate sync issues on their sets. Currently he is using Samsung TVs and streaming YouTube TV, gets up to 30 seconds lag on football games, pix and sound on screens on the bar. Half the crowd is cheering a touchdown while the other half hasn't seen the snap yet. And Yes, I did explain that he would have this problem a couple years ago when the sets were installed. Cat6 wired to all sets so HDMI TX and RX units would work with an HDMI Matrix.

Looking at Keydigital but the AV over IP stuff looks more flexible. Have not used Christie or Atlona. Any recommendations or criticisms? Thanks in advance

We've used the MOIP system from Snap and it works great.

The transmitters can pull the audio so you can feed an audio system, if there is one.
But, it's not cheap

Many use Just Add Power, and I believe Blackwire Designs will configure it for you, including interface to your control system.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Video over IP is the ideal way to go, it adds for more flexibility and large scale matrixes are becoming few and far.

You could use something along the lines of bluestream 1080p version to save some money. In a restaurant/bar atmosphere nobody will notice.

The ultra cheap way out would to use a large scale, 1x8 or 1x16, HDMI splitter extender to a secondary hdmi input on all of the televisions. Then for big events where all displays will be the same, you can have all displays on the same device so there will be no delay.

They really need to get a commercial television service before the wrong people come knocking on the doors and they end up with some fines....

I haven't done much MoiP but our one supplier has the Vanco EVO-IP setup in their building and I saw it a bit ago and looked pretty good, and has an App for control so may be a bit of cost savings there.

Just remember going MoiP you require a network switch that can handle all the traffic and specific configurations. Netgear's AV line I believe is starting to become the defacto (there are others out there) but just keep that in mind with whatever brand you choose you need a proper switch to be configured for it.

Now a days unless you are staying around the 8x8 configuration with a matrix it becomes more cost effective to move towards the MoiP system. Provides a lot more flexibility with inputs/outputs. Troubleshooting and downtime is a lot less as if something were to happen to the matrix chassis you are down completely where as with MoiP you are only down a source.
You can't fix stupid

We are working with SAVI controls a bit now and it is solid. Using LG commercial TV's with built in Web IOS eliminates having a decoder at each endpoint.
