I am looking to get away from my dinosaur PBX at my office/shop and want a solution for my relatively simple business (low volt integration). We typically have fewer than 10 users (5 currently).
I need multiple call support (very light). Auto attendant directing call routing to either internal or external (cell) phones. Voice mail. VM to email. SMS integration. Licensed hold music.
Most have video conferencing and many other features these days which could be cool but not a priority at the moment. I have started looking into 8x8 and Ring Central thus far. 8x8 seem more affordable than most strting at $15/user.
Thanks!

You want to host the server yourself or in the cloud?

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other. |

I use Net2Phone. We have 8 extensions split among 3 departments (sales, service, office). Auto attendant, dial by name or direct extension, VM with transcription and forward to email. Phones only ring during business hours unless direct dialed. My extension forwards to my cell via their app. Call transfers between extensions as well. We use the Yeahlink cordless phones, but they offer corded (POE) systems too. All equipment (leased and written off) and service in one bill. So far been super smooth sailing for about 3 years.
