Largest I’ve ever done is 85”. I’d prefer to do a JVC projector and ALR screen but customer wants to check into a large 100-110” (diagonal) flat panel.

anyone have any recommendations?  Any concerns?

there will be windows on one side wall. So I feel ALR screen would still work ok. But…

Sony XR98X90L.
98" display, Black Friday sale at Best Buy right now $8K (down from $10K).

If you want to go cheap; Hisense 100U8K.
100" display, Black Friday sale at Best Buy $3500 (down from $10K).
Although the Hisense looks like crap.

I’ve only done the 4K 98” commercial based panels from Samsung and NEC. Both had beautiful picture quality.

I’ve also done the LG 110” 4K commercial panel, 5umj, I believe. This one is way overpriced for what it was and only had IR or CEC control.

I’d take a flat panel over projection any day, especially with ambient lighting around.

I see that Samsung, LG, Sony and TCL make 98-100” panels. LG even has oled panels ( probably too much $).

I’ve done a few 98” Samsungs and a 100” Sony. The Samsung physically looks like a bigger 85”. The Sony looked more industrial. Both us great pictures. Both were heavy. We used a big sanus mount that had multiple pieces.

Aside from that they were just like any other TV install.

XR98X90L is beautiful, with great margin. Samsung QN98Q85C is ehh, but for a great price, and decent margin outside of Black Friday sales. QN98QN90A is still my favorite, but the QN98QN990C will be the hot ticket for fat wallet customer that just want the best.

Check the Samsung Wall if you have a billionaire on the line that wants something in the 146" plus range. I haven't sold one, but seen in person, and they will make you chub out a little.

For the skinny wallet people, the Epson and Samsung short throw, with thin frame, ALR screen are also pretty good.

The LG OLED97G2 is a thing of ultimate beauty....yes it is $25K but nothing come remotely close. If not that i would do the 2 piece. backlit panels of that size are just hard on the eyes'

The 100" Sony is the only over 85" I have had to deal with. And it was fine, except the idiot engineer who placed the handles vertically should be fired. I hung that one on marble tile even with a Strong flat XL mount. Took some creativity to get the latches locked and able to be unlocked, but nothing a little pull string tied in strategic locations couldn't overcome.

I always try to just move the chair closer to the TV though. :)

Projectors are the future IMO, you an get one for $1000 nowadays whereas a TV the same size would easily be $3000

That room with lots of windows and no shades… how’s that working midday with your ol’ projector?

Well, the sound is still strong.  Have a great time!!
