Apologies if this has been addressed before but I tried searching the issue to see if there is a solution.

I am controlling a Samsung TV via IP using a Crestron Certified IP driver. It works great for the TV however, After I added a Sonos Playbar via optical, it will not control the Playbar volume. I understand why but the native TV "smart remote" is set up to control Sonos wirelessly. I assume it must establish a bluetooth link with the TV.

Does anyone have a workaround or solution or... will I need to break down and use an IR emitter?

Thanks in advance...

Already on this however, my control system and Sonos are on different VLANS. I have it working this way on another but can't figure why it is not working here. I used the Dynamic touch panel method on that other job but was trying the static method for this one since I only needed volume and mute for one zone on a remote. I set it up much like the demo program but still no luck.

Playbar does not have a Bluetooth radio.

IR or IP are the only options.

He is referring to the tv remote controlling the tv, I believe.

Which model Samsung? Some of the remotes can emit IR too -- if you set them up to control an A/V receiver.

Did you go into the Playbar settings to determine how it gets the audio signal?
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
