If there were a way to get some brightness back on the screens on the ones I own, I would still use them (sometimes). Mine just got too dim to read after years of use.

I went through about 3 of those - kept dropping them until I finally gave up. I tend to drop stuff a lot.

I have a 1000, 2000 and a 6000 that get used often for testing ir.

Great remotes back in the day.
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

I have a TSU3500 I keep around for stuff. The IR learning from the TSU3500 I think was the best of the series.

I have a 1000 I keep a round for learning IR codes. Only thing I ever used it for.

I wish I knew enough electronics engineering to convert one to a modern touch screen, just for fun. I'm sure the battery pack could be shrunk to a flat pack to provide room for another driver board in there.
