Hi, I have been maintaining my Pronto with an old laptop..a Sony Vaio 64 Bit, Windows 7,Pronto Edit 2.4.23 software.

Pronto is TSU 9600 V2.3 Type number
Firmware version 4.0.20
Application 7.3.3

Downloaded same program on a Surface windows 10 64bit.
The download "appears" to be working. Looks same as other
Starting to rebuild the Pronto in the new computer. First problem, when I try to copy IR codes into my Database, I hit learn and it comes up with an error message saying "no compatible device detected".
I added a device in the Sony with no problem so the problem is not the remote.
Any, any, advice at all would be appreciated.

When you installed on the Surface box, did you follow my exact instructions from the sticky post?

Check your Windows 10 Service registry (Win->R->services.msc) and see if ProntoDataServer or ProntoDataService is running. If you don't see that service, then I recommend uninstalling PEP2.4 above using my exact instructions from the sticky I referenced. Make sure .NET 3.5.1 is an installed Windows Feature before you install PEP. And don't forget to kill the service exe as my instructions state.

In theory, it should work on Windows 11 but I've not tried it. The key is ensuring that .NET 3.5.1 is installed prior to installing PEP and then killing the ProntoDataServer.exe process during the install from Task Manager.
