I have a Panasonic TC-P65V10 65 inch plasma on a Chief PDRUB articulated mount.

For an uncluttered look, I would like to place the DVRs (I use a Comcast DVR Model DCX3400 and Dish DVR Model 625) in the basement and the BluRay Samsung DVD player BDC6500 in a closet in the kitchen.

Is there a better alternative to the:
1. MSC-400 RF Command Center
2. MX-980 Hard button remote with customizable screen
3. Denon AVR 2310CI

Money is not an issue if superior quality and extra features is provided for the extra cost. I would also like to have redundant capacity for future use.

I would appreciate any advice

Thanks

There is always better in this industry. If you were my customer I would probably upgrade you to an RTI system. RTI's XP-8 is a more advanced processor and capable of 2-way serial communication and has more than one macro engine (meaning more than one set of macros can run at once). There are a lot of other little things that make it a better processor as well. I would have to discuss with you some of the features you would utilize now vs. later.

RTI also has a full line of controllers, keypads and other types of products that really create a robust control system for a house of any size. It's a very bulletproof system and while not as good as Crestron or AMX and not as IP based as Control 4, it is a fantastic control system. Take a look at some of the products by visiting www.rticorp.com and clicking 'products'. There is something for everyone - from hard button remotes to high resolution touch screen handhelds to tablet style.

This weekend they are announcing future availability of thier long awaited iphone/ipad app and their X-window application which allows you to control your RTI system from a remote location via computer.

As for the Denon, I would have to speak with you about budget, what you are looking for and what you need that you are not getting with your DENON before giving you an alternative.

Good luck, if you have any questions feel free to send me an email.
