HI all, I've been trying to set up a home theater room in my basement and have been having a hard time setting the remote up. I know its a universal remote rebranded mx-800 but i need some info:

I have the following devices that need codes:
directv hr20-200 set on AV1 mode
directv hr21-700
RCA VCR model# VR627hf
Unfortunately I don't have the remote for the VCR but I do have the remote for the directv. I just was trying to make this easy as possible without learning every button. I've never programmed this remote before so I'm sort of a newbie when it comes to the universal remote families.

The URC SAT code for directv codeset 00001 is 173. And 193 for 00002.

If you used the receiver mode option in the Directv menu to switch codesets your hr21 is set to 00003. Go in and use the Advanced setup menu option, in which you can set it to 00002. And then you can use code 193 in the database.

Picking Receiver 2 in the drop down menu sets the receiver to 00002 codeset, you then just reprogram av1 or av2 on the remote with code 00002:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT, wait for two blinks, release
3. enter 0 0 0 0 2
