With Crestron you can have portions of the page be 'sub pages'. So lets say your navigation menu is 100px high and 640 wide. You can create a sub page that size and have it appear anywhere on the 640X480 panel. This is a nice feature for commonly used items like a clock, navigation menu, volume control etc. Some, maybe most GUI guys make everything a subpage and drive them with programming. Making volume control only appear when a source is actually on. Giving you the ability to hide or show specific controls. Is this possible with RTI? My RTI skills are limited to the T2-C and i was wondering if the t4 or k4 had these capabilities. I havent been keeping up with 2way news so i am asking those of you who are. Thanks

AFAIK, you can't do it the way that you do with Crestron. I'm just barely, barely starting with Crestron, but I'm pretty sure I understand you correctly. There may be a change that I don't know about with the new ID software, but I'm pretty sure to have a navigation bar or a pop-up, you basically have to copy and past it onto every page that you need the "global" graphic or toolbar. A pop-up would just be a page flip with the pop-up graphic on it. So its possible, but definitely takes more work. Stamp, you don't use RTI with RTI processors do you? I think the limited pop type features that RTI has requires the XP8. I may be wrong, and it would be sweet if I am, so someone else please chime in.

actually . . im new to RTI, but it would not be a page jump. well . . if you are working with two way that is, you can make conditional graphics. if mute is pressed on the receiver (and it knows this via two way) you can make a mute graphic pop up, until its un-muted. you can do similar things with the volume control. unfortunately you still have to copy and paste that graphic on to every page . .but it would not be a page flip. it would just show or hide certain graphics at certain times. if you have access to the RTI dealer site, watch the 1:46 video on two way programming. its towards the end somewhere.
