I just uploaded a video of the iFusion template for CommandFusion running on the Apple iPad. I bought an iPad specifically for this purpose but I havent been able to set it down since I bought it....
Let me know what you guys think, any comments are welcome.
Completely agree with you. I picked up my ipad almost two weeks ago now and I absolutely love it. I cant believe how many uses I have for it already. I take it to customers houses and show them demos of many different systems, show them products, and just have access to manuals, etc. Way better than having a netbook or laptop.
I am working with Bitwise controls for control now - it was my understanding that command fusion only works with AMX or Crestron but I could be wrong.

Hi Vincent,
I am porting iFusion (iPad) over to Bitwise as well..... it will be a little different due to using full size HTML pages, but it should look almost identical, graphically speaking. I would like to ask for your opinion on something. Should I create a portrait, landscape version, or both? I was also wondering what happens if you rotate the panel if you had, lets say, the portrait version running? Does it attempt to rotate and scale the HTML or does it simply ignore orientation like other programs do?
The one problem I am having is there no way that I have found to select a button and use the arrow keys to move it one pixel at at time to the desired X,Y coordinate. There are also no properties to manually enter them in.
I did come up with a slick way to get a few source pages aligned properly for the transports, 0-9 keypad, jog controls, etc.... Which I can then copy the page over and over and delete what I dont need.
There will eventually be an iPhone and iPhone 4 version, but the iPad is going to be the most popular in my opinion, so I decded to tackle that one first.
Hey 39, Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it. I havent heard about the Crestron competition until I read your post. If you have a link, I would love to read about it.
I took all that time to shoot the video and edit it in WMM and today, I decide to make some mahor changes / add-ons to the template.... I'll post an updated video as soon as it's ready. It's hard to get the iPad screen to display sharply when shooting video unless the brightness is turned all the way down.
I am really liking the CF capabilities as far as what you can do from a GUI standpoint, what they have done is pretty amazing.
I was going to try and shoot a video of my ipad demo file (also using CF) but i think im going to opt for screen capture software. It worked out well with this video [Link: guijaboard.com]
Main rules are that it has to be used in an existing project and has to be done with Crestron Mobile Pro G for the ipad and it has to be submitted by a current crestron dealer or CAIP. I wasn't sure if you were a Crestron guy or not but im sure you can dig one up from your client list. Prizes are a prodigy system & free ipads and the obvious free advertising if you win or place. Good Luck!
Hey 39, I just found out it works a lot better if you have a lot of ambient light in the room, I am going to shoot my next video in broad daylight near a window.......
If it is dark, the exposure compensates too much for the bright screen vs the background, in the daytime, the screen looks much sharper than at night (on video at least).
Ill post the new one when it's ready, I added a bunch of new features to the CF iPad template in the last couple days.
