Is there a way to extend or repeat the rf signal of a mx-900? I don't know if this is relevant but I have wifi and a direct ethernet cable near where the mx-900 is used .

I am trying to control something 70 feet away and there 3 walls in between

I think you can do it with the new ethernet base stations, but was looking for a less expensive way to do it, even if it is with some aftermarket solution

MRF350 and use your cat5 to bring the separate antenna/rf unit to where you are.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

my rx-250 does not have an Ethernet cable port. Is there another model to hook to the mrf-350?

or are you talking about cutting the ends off my ethernet cable? Only problem with that is that it currently supplies an internet connection.

I do have an hdmi extender that has an IR extending port. It coverts hdmi to cat 6 cable then back to hdmi for long runs. Built in is an ir extender via 3.5 input.

But it's only ONE port for a 3.5 cable.

I am trying to control an Integra 80.3 avr and a media streamer. The 80.3 has and ir in on the back and an ir out as well. Media streamer will need an emitter attached to it as no direct ir in.

There is an MRF-350 by the 80.3 and an MRF-250 by the area I am tryin to control these devices from (kitchen). It's 70 feet away and not line of sight

Any way to get some sort of Y adapter for the MRF-250 ports and take up 2 ports, run that through a single output end that plugs into the IR extender in the hdmi extender., out of that into the 80.3 then out of that into the streamer? Only thing may be the y adapter needs an auto switching device in it.

Any other ideas that are not too expensive?

Have you tried using the remote yet? I usually have no issue with a MRF-350 at that distance.

The mx900 does not work with network basestations.  Only the mx5000,mx6000, kp4000, and mx-ios app work with network devices.

pull an additional cat 5 and relocate your rfx250.   or add a separate rfx250 to the room where you need addional coverage.
