I was in the process of making a new remote in CCP, using the MX6000 as my remote. I was creating a new device that uses RS-232. This is a product that we use quite often so I wanted to use it as a template to import into other jobs. The main file works fine and all of my rs-232 codes are present. The issue is when I start a new remote and I want to import in the remote that I created, all the buttons are there but all the rs-232 codes I put in are gone. Am I doing something wrong here or is this something that does not work in CCP. I hope I didn't just waste hours making this device for nothing. Hopefully someone can help with this.

rs-232 codes can only be triggered by a remote. The actual code must be programmed into an MSC 400 or MRX 1

incorrect as far as the MRX1 goes.  no codes are stored in the MRX1, they are stored on the buttons inside the network based remote (mx5000, mx6000, kp4000, or mxiOS)

the issue he is having is that before CCP allows you to put an RS232 code on a button, it wants to know which MRX1 port you will be routing the data to.  This info doesn't get brought over when importing the RS232 device, so you end up losing all RS232 data programmed to each button.

Thanks for the clarification.
