I'm a newbie MX 810 owner. Love the remote, found the software to be frustrating, but I was able to get through it. Nothing that hasn't been posted here already a couple of times. Couple of questions about the MRF260:

Does the unit send IR out the lens on the front of the unit - or just through wired IR outs that afix to the front of the units? Any possibility that the signals from the MRF 260 and the IR emitted by the actual remote will conflict or cause "splatter?" (Equipment is not behind a door.) It looks as if the IR from the remote can be turned off for certain devices via the software....

Considering the MRF 260, because the wife and kids aren't used to keeping the remote pointed at the gear until all the voo doo takes place to start an activity. I'm thinking this unit would probably solve that.

Thanks in advance,

Yes in just about all situations you want to disable the ir for all devices that are controlled via an emitter or direct ir connection and disable the blaster. Also properly assign the ir ports in programming.
